Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how CabinCompanion LLC ("CabinCompanion", "we", "us") handles information when you use Growbook and related support channels.
Information we collect
- Account information such as email address and authentication identifiers.
- Growbook records you create, including plants, grow logs, watering and feeding entries, notes, harvest entries, spaces and equipment, and settings.
- Your garden ZIP code, if you add one. If you choose to look it up automatically, Growbook uses your device location once to find the ZIP code and does not store your location.
- Content you post for other users to see, such as variety reviews and your username, and reports or blocks you submit about other users' content.
- Subscription status and billing metadata provided through Apple and RevenueCat.
- Support requests you send to us by email.
How Growbook stores data
Some data is stored locally on your device. If you use account-backed or premium sync features, relevant app data may also be stored with Supabase so it can sync across devices. Photos you take in Growbook stay on your device. Readings from HomeKit sensors are read on your device; if you connect a Pulse sensor, Growbook retrieves your readings from Pulse.
Service providers
We use Supabase for authentication and cloud-backed app data where applicable, and RevenueCat to manage subscription status and entitlements. Apple processes App Store billing transactions. For weather forecasts and alerts, Growbook sends the approximate coordinates of your garden ZIP code to Apple Weather.
How we use information
- Provide and maintain Growbook features.
- Authenticate accounts and support sync features.
- Calculate frost dates, planting windows, weather alerts, and care suggestions.
- Moderate content shared with other users and act on reports.
- Confirm subscription access and restore purchases.
- Respond to support and privacy inquiries.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We only share data with service providers that are needed to operate the app or process support and subscription workflows.
Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as needed to operate the app, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You can delete your account and its synced data from within the app. To request account or privacy help, contact [email protected].
